CARING FOR OUR REGION’S WILD FRIENDS

Wildlife and bird care is a vital part of what we do at Vet Cross. Our team provides veterinary support for injured, sick or orphaned wildlife, and avian patients — from native birds and reptiles to small mammals and exotics.

We work closely with wildlife carers, zoos, and the broader community to provide compassionate, expert treatment. Whether it’s a rescued lorikeet or a wallaby in need of urgent care, we do all we can to support recovery, rehabilitation and, where possible, release.

HOW WE HELP

A SAFE PLACE FOR WILDLIFE

Our hospitals accept wildlife drop-offs during business hours, and our team is trained in triage and treatment for a wide variety of species. We do not charge for initial wildlife assessments — because doing the right thing should be easy.

We’re also proud to be the veterinary team behind the local zoo, providing care to native and exotic animals as part of our broader commitment to conservation.

If you’ve found a sick or injured wild animal, contact us or bring them in during hospital hours.
